M0OCT is the Group Call-sign of The Chesterfield Amateur Radio Rally Team.

The Call-sign was used at The Hunloke School,Wingerworth, near Chesterfield during their Gala Day on 20th Sept 2008.
Members of The Rally Team had Attempted to work all bands on HF using there own Home Made Dipole strung across The Tennis Courts and Play Grounds of the School. 6,2 & 70cms was a modest set-up perched under a few trees but both stations managed to work quite a few other special event stations throughout the UK.

All those present enjoyed working our special/group call-sign. On a few occasions the operator's own call-sign slipped out, but this was quickly corrected!

M0OCT will be in operation again at the forth coming Rally in October at Hasland Village Hall,Eastwood Park,Hasland near Chesterfield. While there's enough room for several HF Long wires etc I don't think they'll have much time to operate with all that's going on during the Rally.

If you cannot make the Rally give a call into the Talk-In Station they'll be pleased to receive your reports on simplex. The Freq.'s we will use are 145.525 & 433.525

G6IBQ also operates a UHF Simplex Link on 434.525 with 71.9hz CTCSS and is enabled on Echolink & IRLP. The IRLP Node Number is 5821 and Echolink Node Number is 71210. The link is enabled from around 7am till 9pm daily. Also you will notice that the link is sometimes connected to The UK Repeater Network (click for more info)
